I’m Meina, a language enthusiast, learner, polyglot-wannabe, blogger and… a developer? (Not really)

Graduated over a year ago, still searching for the right 9 to 5 job, so I’m most likely to enter the rat race world, only God knows when. For the time being, I’m spending my time doing blogging and giving people information about learning foreign languages online as well as how to build a website from scratch using WordPress.

Why Do I Want To Learn A New Language?

Why Do I Want To Learn A New Language?

I always have a keen interest in languages since I was in secondary. It began as a curiosity, then slowly became an interest.

The first language I wanted to try was Korean simply because of listening to lots of Korean songs. So, I decided to give it a try for a few months and then I stopped because of another commitment.

Back then, everything was difficult. I didn’t have friends who are interested in learning foreign languages, let alone conversational English. My access to the internet was also quite limited. I literally had no language speaking partners, thus the only way I can improve my English was by watching American TV series, movies, and music. I have to say these methods help a lot in my pronunciation.

In 2015, I decided to create this website where I can blog about my language learning journey and help people get started on the right track with their own journey. Apart from that, I also want to improve my writing skill, communicate with people and have a friendly network and a better understanding of the variety of people from all over the world.

If you ever need any help don’t hesitate to ask. I’m more than willing to help in any way I could. Like Maya Angelou said,

“When we give cheerfully and accept gratefully, everyone is blessed.”

To your success,

My Signature

      Hi Daniella.

Yeah, I guess that’s the benefit of living in a country where all sorts of cultures blend in. Really? May I know what are the languages you’ve learned?

Thanks Meina, for the help on the WA question we posted regarding updating while in single column mode. Just like said, the Update button is at the bottom of the page.

Very creative idea you have tapped into here, with your language sharing/communicating website. Really well done, and well received. Neither of us know a second language, so this is something we may consider now.

    Best of luck and success.

      Hi Veanna & Dennis,

Not a problem. Glad I could help.

Thank you for your comment. Well, learning a second language gives you more than just learning. It gives you the opportunity to connect with people that speak the target language. Sooner or later, we have to learn a new language because even though English is the universal language, not everyone speaks English and that’s a fact.

If you ever decide to learn a new language, let me know 🙂
